Valerie Goldfinch – Practice Manager
Greenlane Veterinary Centre was founded over 60 years ago by Val’s husband, Terry Goldfinch — one of the first vets to establish a practice in this part of Auckland. Val started working here herself in 1982, and has been part of the clinic ever since.
After completing a diploma in business management at the University of Auckland, Val was promoted to practice manager, and has led the clinic through its major renovations and its BESTPRACTICE accreditation — a significant milestone for the practice.
For Val, Greenlane Veterinary Centre isn’t just a business — it’s a family legacy, built on 60+ years of caring for the pets and families of this community. She’s passionate about seeing that same care carried forward, and is a strong advocate for her team pursuing ongoing education and further qualifications.
Dr Vanessa Dodkins – Veterinarian BVSc
Our lead veterinarian, who qualified in South Africa in 1998, brings a wealth of expertise honed over ten years in the UK and twelve years in Australia. Now based in beautiful New Zealand, she offers a deep commitment to surgery and medicine, with a focus on client interaction.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys life with her family, which includes a beloved cat, dog, husband and two children.
Vanessa is dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care for your pets, guided by years of diverse experience and a genuine love for animals.
Dr Samantha Eaton – Veterinarian BVSc
Samantha has four years of experience in mixed animal practice. Our veterinarian recently relocated from Northland to specialise in small animals.
Passionate about soft tissue surgery and comprehensive medical assessments, she is dedicated to providing exceptional care for your furry companions.
When not in the clinic, she enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and traveling, bringing a sense of adventure and enthusiasm to her work. Your pets are in good hands with her!
